U.S. general on Iran nuke deal: ‘It’s not over yet’:
"If all 34 Democrats hold firm, Republicans are powerless to stop the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Iran. But Gen. Boykin said 34 promised votes are not the same as a done deal.
“It is not over yet. There is a big rally here next week, the ninth of September. Tens of thousands of people are going to be in the streets,” said Boykin, who is one of more than 200 retired military officers who wrote to leaders of both parties in both chambers imploring lawmakers to reject the Iran deal.
Talk-show hosts Glenn Beck and Mark Levin and GOP presidential contenders Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, are scheduled to attend the Stop the Iran Deal Rally organized by the Tea Party Patriots, Center for Security Policy and Zionist Organization of America. The rally will take place just after lawmakers return from recess and before the vote on the nuclear deal. It will be held on the west lawn of the Capitol at 1 p.m. EST."
