Trump’s fight for campus justice is only beginning

Trump’s fight for campus justice is only beginning:

Image result for flickr commons images president trumpAmerican colleges used to pride themselves on their commitment to free speech and free inquiry. That’s the only way learning takes place, we thought, and you’d have to go back to the Dark Ages to find people who disagreed. Only now the Dark Ages have returned, with college speech codes, barking-mad left-wing student mobs and faculties that refuse to hire open conservatives.
This week, President Trump took a big step to stop the madness with one of the most important speeches of his presidency.
Trump signed an executive order to authorize the denial of federal funds to colleges that suppress student free-speech rights.

So many questions, and so little transparency in this nutty, high-visibility case.  For example, why did the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office drop the case against Jussie Smollett? Why did it agree to have the record sealed? Why didn’t it consult with the police who investigated the crimes before disposing of the case?  Why did it give Smollett a sweetheart deal, rather than force him to go to trial or at least insist on a guilty plea, or even a plea of no contest? Was there political pressure to drop the case? And if so, who exerted the pressure on whom, and to what end?

For the past two years, Democrat politicians, liberal pundits and disgruntled former national security officials have stoked “collusion” hysteria in the media with accusations of treason against President Trump.
The mainstream media were able to keep their fake collusion narrative going for so long in large part because a steady stream of “expert” commentators were on hand to assure liberal journalists that the hoax was real.

The answer, unfortunately, is rigid pay scales, hiring discrimination, lower wages, lower productivity, increased business and consumer costs, and lawyers and judges second-guessing employers’ evaluations.
That is a lot of consequences, all in the name of reducing the so-called “pay gap” between men and women. That “pay gap” refers to an apples-to-oranges comparison purporting to show that, compared to men, women make about 20 cents less on the dollar.

Perhaps most damaged were the individual anchors and reporters who bet their careers on proving that President Donald Trump conspired with a foreign power to steal an election. These journalists authored fake stories, gave breathless coverage to the alleged scandal and ultimately misled the public.

How to end the Mueller nightmare — probe Hillary Clinton again:

Image result for flickr commons images hillary clintonNow, with Mueller finished, it is time to give equal attention to the other side of the story, of how we got here. The questions can be boiled down to two.
Was the initial decision to investigate Trump’s campaign an honest mistake by the Obama administration? Or was it an attempt to rig the election in favor of Clinton, and when that failed, overthrow a duly elected president?
Those outstanding issues are as worthy of complete answers as those that Mueller investigated. In addition to knowing whether there was an improper relationship between a candidate and a foreign power, Americans also deserve to know what was going on inside their own government and whether it was simply incompetent or thoroughly corrupt, or some combination of the two.

Meanwhile, the regime concentrates on violently repressing protests and burning humanitarian aid as it approaches its borders.

Which makes the people who were doing that fulminating — media, politicians and (usually retired) intelligence figures, who were, as is becoming increasingly clear, betraying the American Constitutional system with impunity — sick and evil.

The reason it’s included below is because cowboys are being thrown under the horse, along with “farting cows.” They’re the latest targets of the political correctness that seeks to replace American grit with a nihilistic creed of wimpery.
Actually, it started years ago, when leftists thought they had delivered a roundhouse punch against Ronald Reagan, and later, George W. Bush, by deriding them as “cowboys.” That made the two men rugged icons to many Americans.
The same cultural vandals made another stupid mistake by dismissively dubbing Mr. Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative “Star Wars.” They actually thought that linking the high-tech missile defense system to one of the most popular movie franchises of all time would help kill it.
Now, in Orange County, California, tin-ear activists are seeking to rename John Wayne Airport and remove the Duke’s statue over fatally “insensitive” remarks he made in 1971. It’s only a matter of time before they demand that all copies of his movies be burned in a cleansing ceremony, along with anything Thomas Jefferson wrote.
