Liberal Free Pass

By Tammy Derouin

This past week we witnessed liberal hypocrisy and the political double standard take center stage. Two abhorrent comments were made by two different entertainers. One entertainer lost her show and the other went on to receive an award and praise for her so called talents. Spewing obnoxious monologues is not something I deem worthy of praise. For the Left, it's become an acceptable practice as long as they are the ones attacking. It would be racists, sexist and any other word they could conjure up should the same treatment be turned on them.

Image result for free clip art Free PassShould we really be surprised that the outcome was different for each individual? Anyone who has paid even the slightest bit of attention should know that when someone on the Left is called out for their actions, excuses fly and a scripted apology is supposed to make everything all better. We are, after all, dealing with those who live and work in the land of make believe. It's only a mistake if the Left-wing spin doctors are unable to cover up or rewrite the narrative. Of course, there's the possibility that the apology will be taken back, especially if one feels a surge of liberal support after the apology has been issued. Appearing on talk shows where everyone is prompted to applaud on demand usually does the trick.

Another excuse, which is gaining momentum and is not only absurd but extremely dangerous, is that there is something wrong with an individual who doesn't agree with the Left-wing party line. The Left is truly showing their true colors when they attack anyone who doesn't think inside of their progressive, debilitating box. They claim to believe in individual freedom yet they attack like a pack of wolves when one of their own deviates from the script. They come unglued when someone thinks for themselves. They have to brand the free and independent thinker as the trouble maker. They cannot risk being exposed for the enslaving and anti-freedom policies and ideologies that they support.

A liberal free pass is waiting for those who blindly follow the agenda of the Left. The enslavement begins as you are no longer allowed to think, believe or act as an individual. You must sign on to their collective. Free will is lost as the chains and shackles lock you into your new role as an enslavement hustler. The sins of their party are spun and attempts are made to blame conservatives for their deeds. The truth is available.

The entertainment world has become nothing more than a collection of puppets for Left-wing ideology and propaganda. If you look real close you can probably see the strings which make them dance and the levers which makes them speak. Frankly, I do not care for either one of the so called comedians in question. One acted, so it would seem, spur of the moment. This is the down side of living in a world where you can be heard immediately. Many don't think before they post but it's not illegal to be foolish. One, so it would seem, spent time crafting her insults and probably had approval from higher ups to proceed with her rant. Many do think before they speak but it's not illegal to be foolish.

As Americans, freedom of speech is one of our God-given rights. Our individual character will guide us on how best to exercise our rights. Our actions come with rewards and consequences. With freedom comes responsibility. Each individual has the right to think, believe and live as they choose as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Capitalism and our individual freedoms will ultimately have the final say as Americans either reward or condemn this most recent circus performance.

As long as entertainers act as a mouthpiece for left-wing politics, I won't expect much for entertainment and even less for decent behavior. I exercise my freedom by tuning them out. Censorship and government regulations are not the answers. We need to be aware of the sewage they produce so we know what to avoid. Let them speak and let their agenda be known. Let their ignorance shine brightly when they try to convince you that you are much better off without your rights.

Knowing and understanding our rights and why those who came before us fought to secure and preserve our freedom is essential if we are to remain free. If we do not understand the value of what we have, uneducated puppets will try to destroy it and enslave you.

Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.”
