"Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Hatch and House Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan have been seeking these records since last April but have yet been unsuccessful to get the information. Oversight of these communications is an important part of the work for these committees.Knowing how this information is being shared and what information is being shared between the IRS and White House is vital to making sure these records do not end up serving as a conduit for political harassment such as what we have seen previously out of the Lois Lerner case with the IRS."
