Self-Evident

Tammy Derouin

I’m really trying to figure out why Congress cannot or will not stop an out of control executive. There are however, a few in Congress who understand the seriousness of our situation.  They are doing their best but for some reason, so many others refuse to see reality.  Do they not understand what is happening?  Or, are they part of the problem?

We are on a path that will not allow too many more opportunities for us to turn around and get back on course.  If we do not correct our mistakes in the very near future, we stand a good chance of being lost forever.  Forward really means backwards in a world where up is down and right is wrong.

The executive has proven time and time again, that he will do whatever it takes to fulfill his agenda.  He will betray the very people who put him in office; the people he swore to protect.  We are dealing with a very dangerous situation.

Will the news of this past week enlighten more Americans? Do we actually have to let it get to the point of no return? Do we really need to be under physical attack on our homeland for reality to sink in?  Will it take total darkness for our individual light bulbs to shine bright?

This past week, our ally, Benjamin Netanyahu, won re-election.  Israel can proudly state they have a true leader, a man of character with a moral compass.  They have re-elected a leader who will actually stand and defend Israel and the Israeli people.  Netanyahu will not bow to the enemy.

What does our leader do?  Our executive states he doesn’t want to appear to take sides so close to an election.  When Netanyahu spoke before the U.S. Congress, warning of the dangers of Iran, our executive and many of his minions refuse to attend.  However, the executive, who doesn’t want to take sides, apparently tried to undermine the election. Evidence has been surfacing that our executive tried to unseat Netanyahu.  This would have destabilized Israel.

This past week, not only did our executive sulk, because he didn’t get the results he wanted when Netanyahu won re-election, he sent a video message to the Iranian people, bad mouthing Americans. He has not only turned his back on Israel; he has turned his back on America.

The executive funds and congratulates our enemies.  The leaders of Egypt, Turkey, Russia and Iran all received congratulatory phone calls after their victories.  Israel receives betrayal but, so do the American people.  Does anyone really believe the executive wants Israel or the United States to survive?  Actions speak louder than words. This is beyond a petty phone call; this is an issue of loyalty.  The proof is self-evident.

He congratulates and funds our enemies.  He welcomes them into our White House and opens our borders for unlimited, unknown individuals to cross into our homeland.  He prevents our border patrol from stopping the invasion. He lashes out at the governors of border states for attempting to protect their territory. Instead of  refusing the intruders, he buses them to undisclosed location throughout our country.  He has betrayed the American people; still many Americans ignore reality.

Every week, his actions jump to a new level of disbelief.  Every week, I wonder, how much more is necessary before the people of this nation realize we have a major problem.  What will it take to wake up the American people? Do we actually have to see a flag, other than our own, rise above the White House?  Will that be the final straw, or will we find some politically correct reason to rationalize that as well?

We have the tools but apparently we don’t know how to use them.  We elected many who said they would stop him but they too caved to his will. We don’t need a revolution; the tools are in our possession.  Civil unrest would create an opportunity; an opportunity to take complete control.  There have already been several attempts to create racial conflicts. Civil unrest, I believe, is the goal. This will allow him to come forward.

In this new reality, forward means backwards.  Like so many other tyrants who came before him, he waits for an opportunity, a crisis. Create a problem, wait for conflict and come forward with a solution.  Hitler did the same thing.  Great Britain’s Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, dismissed Hitler and tried to pacify him.  Millions of Jews died and Great Britain paid a hefty price for their ignorance of reality.

“We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”
Winston Churchill
