Security

The
amount of resistance to securing our borders is difficult to
comprehend. Why is there so much opposition to keeping our country
safe? I think the average American understands that security is
important. An open border policy is irresponsible and will continue
to cause more harm than good.
Most
Americans are not opposed to immigration. We just want those who
wish to live here to knock on the front door and go through the
proper procedures to become citizens and a productive part of our
society. Unfortunately, those who push open borders have a political
agenda. They continually try to demonize the law and law
enforcement. The Left reaches into their bag of tricks and tries to
use labels such as racism or felonious phobias to turn the
enforcement of the law into some kind of evil deed.
Logic
is completely disregarded, by certain elements, when it comes to
protecting our country. The president has been challenged at every
turn for trying to enforce the law and for trying to secure our
borders, in other words, he has been challenged for doing his job.
Rouge, agenda driven judges have hampered the duty of the President
of the United States. Their actions severely compromise the security
of the American people. What possible reason would make sense for
not protecting our borders? What could be the desired outcome of
allowing anyone into our home without care or concern?
Sadly,
the only argument which makes sense is the willful destruction and
destabilization of the United States. If that is the goal, then open
borders, catch and release, restricting our border patrol, not
wanting border security, offering benefits to all who enter,
providing sanctuary for illegal aliens, elected officials refusing to
enforce federal law, tipping off the illegal aliens of possible
arrest, a flippant attitude towards illegals voting and our elected
representation prioritizing the needs of illegals above the needs of
legal citizens, then it all makes sense.
To
oppose border security means accepting the future destabilization of
our country. If we continue to refuse to protect and secure our home
and our most valued possessions, we will one day discover that they
are gone. Security involves many aspects beginning with the
enforcement of the law. Other aspects include the proper vetting of
those who are allowed into the country and arresting and deporting
those who do not follow our laws. It is also extremely important to
establish and maintain a secure border with barricades, surveillance
and guards. Refusing to close and lock the entryway makes us look
extremely foolish. Destabilization will be the result if we do not
enforce our laws, especially if we continue to entice individuals to
enter illegally by offering free handouts and services.
There
isn't one person who would leave there home wide open for unknown
individuals to wander about, in or on their premises. Nobody would
sit idly by as strangers took their possessions or used their
resources. You certainly wouldn't allow unknown individuals to stake
a claim in a portion of your home. You wouldn't provide them with
all their essentials or give them more when they launched a protest
in your living room because they weren't satisfied with what you were
giving them. What would happen if your uninvited guests had an
overactive sense of entitlement and decided to threaten you with
leaving if they didn't get more from you? Well, there's a saying
about not letting the door hit you....., which comes to mind.
Every
single one of us would call the police if a stranger was found in or
on our property. We would also use any and every means of protection
against the intruder if we felt they were a danger to us and our
loved ones. We would feel violated and would do whatever it took to
secure the area which proved to be a weakness in our home security.
Why
do we understand security in our homes but not for our country? We
lock our doors and in many cases use other methods of security. We
do not allow strangers into our home or allow them to abuse our
generosity and take over our home. Intentionally leaving our home
unsecured, especially with family members and children, would be
considered irresponsible and negligent. Why then, is it not
considered irresponsible and negligent when individuals do not want
to protect our country the same way we protect our home and family?
Americans
are smart individuals. We understand security. Ask yourself, what
would be the motive of any organization or individual for not wanting
to secure our borders and keep you safe?
“America
will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our
freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
Abraham
Lincoln
