The American Way

In my little corner of the world, I do not witness the behavior which the mainstream media likes to portray as lurking everywhere in our society. Since all of these accusations of rampant racism, sexism, isms and phobias of all shapes and sizes began to inundate the population, I've paid close attention to my surroundings. I've watched and I've listened and then I've wondered, why do so many people still give the main stream media the time of day? I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I feel the Left has attempted to create a crisis. And as we know, the Left loves a crisis because it provides opportunities that wouldn't ordinarily exist.

My experience has been that most people are good. Most people will offer to help regardless of race, sex or any type of difference. Americans are known for their generosity and kindness. Even when things get crazy in our own little worlds, and especially when disaster strikes, for the most part, people help one another, unconditionally. That's the America I know, that's the American way.

The Golden Rule is key. If everyone treated others the way they wished to be treated, just think of how many unnecessary cow pastures could have been avoided. The holidays are a perfect time to remind ourselves of our blessings. Unfortunately, Americans are being conditioned to be intolerant of themselves. Christmas is one example. Our heritage, our foundation as a nation, is based on Judeo-Christian beliefs. The militant Left is trying their best to erase our history and reshape our future by making any references to Christ or Christian beliefs politically incorrect. Our God, who gives life and freedom, is being pushed aside. Meanwhile, ideology which promotes hatred, death and destruction is landing in the spotlight. I do not understand.

Without Christ, there wouldn't be Christmas. What would we be celebrating? Even Jolly Old St. Nicholas wouldn't exist without Christ. If we completely eliminate Christ, our traditional holidays are gone. We wouldn't have Christmas so that means we wouldn't have Easter, Thanksgiving or the 4^th of July, just to name a few. We wouldn't have events to celebrate.

The Left continues to inject their anti-Christian and anti-American poison into our society. Adding the puppet press, the Left-wing entertainment industry, and the educational system to push a political agenda, stirs up a dangerous formula. It doesn't mix with freedom, liberty, capitalism and small government. Should we be surprised? Their agenda paves a path to enslavement; dependency on the government.

We are being conditioned to be intolerant and to hate ourselves. Being white, of European descent, is now some sort of liability. The Left would have you believe that your skin color automatically means that you are filled with hate and intolerance. I think that's called prejudice and I thought the majority of that was behind us as a society. And, I might add, what hypocrisy! If you are a Christian, a woman who does not buy into present day mafia style feminism, or an individual who values freedom for all, including a free-market society, you have become a villain to those on the Left.

I recently observed an attitude which is becoming dangerously acceptable in our society. A magazine was noticed by someone where a hole had been made through a photo of President Trump. A comment was made about how a lot of people would like to see President Trump with a hole in him. Is this what we, as a nation, have become? Is it truly acceptable to wish for or to call for bodily harm against those with whom we disagree? That is a dangerous message and one that doesn't turn out well for many, millions possibly, in the population.

When it becomes acceptable that individuals who are different, for one reason or another, are expendable, we have set ourselves up for disaster. The Left claims they stand for tolerance and freedom. We have, however, witnessed that it's only for those who fall in lock step with their political agenda. The Left continuously proves that they only value freedom and tolerance for those who share their collective way of thinking. If you think outside of their progressive box of ideology, your rights, your freedoms and possibly your life, does not matter. Independence is not valued by the Left. Thankfully, we are a nation of laws not men. Let's hope, for the sake of our future, that it remains that way.
