Ribbons and Trophies

By Tammy Derouin

Is anything surprising these days? We have people in government, a shadow government and fellow countrymen who are so focused on destroying the current president and his administration that they will push false stories to create a fictitious reality, at any cost, to meet their desired goal. What is their desired goal? How well do you think it will work for our country if it is dependent upon lies and deceit? When people prefer false information, rather than the truth or the desire to find the truth, we put our society and our country in grave danger.

Do we really prefer fiction over truth? Are we prepared to live with the consequences of accepting false stories to promote an agenda, while stifling the attempt to find the truth? The desire to limit our freedom was pretty transparent under the Obama administration. Attempts were made to rein him in but some sort of invisible shield seemed to protect him and his politicized governmental departments from truly being called on the carpet, why?

As attempts are being made to bring us back to a political center, a saying comes to mind. I have slightly modified it to fit our current situation; hell hath no fury like a blindsided progressive Left-wing Democrat. They were so sure that the American people had jumped on board their train of delusion that many of the young snowflakes, still holding their unearned ribbons and trophies, melted on the spot upon hearing the news that their candidate lost. Two visuals come to mind. A couple years ago, MSU defeated U of M in the last couple seconds of the football game. Remember the stunned look of all those dressed in blue and gold as the camera panned the crowd? The other visual comes from Hollywood. Remember one of the final scenes in Raiders of the Lost Ark, the fate which befell those who dared to cast their eyes upon the Ark? The stunned look of reality is undeniable.

The daily reality that fiction is preferred over truth is very concerning. Of course, we have to remember that the puppet press has already betrayed the American people, preferring to work for a political agenda instead of truth and justice. As long as Americans still put stock in the circus they call news, fiction and fairy tales will be preferred over the truth. Our watch dogs became our Judas. They continue to mislead the American people for their share of silver. I keep hoping there will be some redemption, that someone in the main stream media will wake up, but the outlook for those who dare to speak isn't good.

The stories of the past week really weren't surprising. We've grown accustomed to the hate from the Left and their desire to destroy anyone who doesn't agree with them. Freedoms and rights, in their minds, are bestowed upon only those who think and see the world through progressive colored glasses. So, it wasn't surprising, although it should have been, to see that there were so many articles on how the millennial generation is embracing socialism over capitalism.

One article included an additional bit of information which should send anyone who knows and understands our freedoms and rights, our Constitution and capitalism, into the scare of their life. Millennial's are the largest voting group in the United States; the largest group of legal voters in the United States.
Those who push Socialism like to create an illusion of a perfect world; everyone has equal income and equal access to all of life's necessities. Socialism doesn't work. History has the proof. How many times do we have to watch a society crumble under the enslavement and dependency which is caused by socialism? Only the elites fare well and even that is short lived. Socialism kills the individual's spirit. Independence and self-reliance are replaced with oppressive governmental control. Take a serious look at Venezuela; they serve as a living example of the disastrous effects of socialism. Socialism also leads to communism. Unfortunately, the evils of these society killing, economic disasters are not being taught. If they were, millennials wouldn't be so eager to carelessly embrace something which will ultimately destroy them and our country.

Education is key. Without knowledge of the disastrous effects of socialism and communism and with the press pushing an anti-American agenda by those who wish to fundamentally transform America into a state of enslavement rather than preserving our freedoms, we are doomed to endure lessons which have already been learned. The young, who haven't learned about the harsh reality of socialism but push a false narrative because it sounds good, have a rude awakening in their future. When reality does hit, I defer back to the scene in Raider of the Lost Ark. It will be unbearably real.

“The goal of socialism is communism.”
Vladimir Lenin
