"The United States certainly seems to be much more divided now than it has been at any time since the race riots of the 1970s. While the tensions appeared to fade, starting in the Reagan era, the presidency of the nation’s first African American chief executive seems to have sparked up old resentments and created quite a few new ones. Not that any of that is his fault, apparently.During a White House press conference with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Obama claimed that conservative politicians and media are exclusively responsible for the current tone of American politics, claiming it’s something “which I certainly have not contributed to.”
