Just Imagine
By Tammy Derouin

The Constitution was designed to protect the people from the government.  Obama has called these negative liberties.  Obama stated,   “…that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties.  Says what the states can’t do to you.  Says what the federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.”
Just imagine the turmoil that could be created by a government that worked on your behalf and in every aspect of your life.  Just imagine a government without restraints.

The Constitution is clear.  Each branch of government has individual responsibilities which includes checking the powers of the others.  When one branch of government assumes the power and responsibilities of all three branches, our Republic will cease to exist.

Obama has a problem with the Constitution.  It restrains the government; it restrains him.  He sees this as a negative.  The more the government is capable of giving, the more it is capable of taking away.  Our unalienable rights came from God, not the government.  The government cannot take away that which it did not give so they will convince you to relinquish them for the greater good.
How would a system of government operate on behalf of the people?  What would happen if the government decided that the people weren’t capable of taking care of themselves or they couldn’t make the right decisions?  I wonder what kind of ridiculous rules and regulations a group of individuals would come up with if given the opportunity.

A system of government that runs every aspect of your life is called communism.  The person or party that makes all your decisions for you, because you are deemed inferior, is part of the elite class.  You are either part of their party or you are part of the problem.

Financial problems are easy to fix.  You demonize the wealthy.  Those who worked hard and have become financially successful are now evil.  Questions arise, is it possible for someone to have too much money?  The successful are no longer seen as an example to follow.  It’s too difficult to emulate someone when you are told you can’t do it on your own.  It would be so much easier to take from the wealthy and redistribute it to everyone else.

Health and medical issues are an easy fix.  All you have to do is simply implement your own law.  Force everyone to purchase insurance or pay a penalty.  No, it’s a tax, according to the Supreme Court.  They set the price and demand payment or the IRS will come knocking at your door.  More surprises are coming to light.  WND reported on a study by the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics this past week.  They found that standards are being implemented to limit the amount Americans may spend on medical treatments.  Washington bureaucrats would set national standards for medical treatment. “Obamacare authorizes federal bureaucrats to impose limits on what life-saving medical treatments Americans are allowed to get.  It may not call this ‘rationing.’  But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t,” the report says.

Personal safety is an easy fix as well.  Simply turn your guns over to the government and they will protect you.  If nobody has a gun, everyone will be safe.  Well, the criminals will have guns.  Those “gun free zones” are a criminal’s paradise.  You’ve got to love those law abiding citizens, such easy targets.  We should all sleep better knowing the government has all the guns and ammunition.  Have you noticed how local police departments are looking more like military units?  No reason to be concerned, you’ve turned over your gun.  Don’t worry about that buzzing overhead, it’s just a drone.  You weren’t doing anything wrong, were you?

A government that wants to take care of you wants your obedience and your loyalty.  This is not a request, this is a command.  How’s that collar feel?  Is it getting tighter?  A short leash is on the way.  You’ll be walked, fed, clipped and neutralized when the elites decides it’s necessary.  You no longer need to think for yourself.  Sit, speak, and roll over for your cup of dry food and water.  If you’re really good, you may be allowed to go out for a run, just not too far.  An electric fence and security cameras are being installed.  It’s for your protection.

Just imagine the turmoil that could be created by a government that worked on your behalf and in every aspect of your life.  Can you imagine a government without restraints?

“There’s a little Homer Simpson in all of us.  Sometimes we have self-control problems, sometimes we’re impulsive and that in these circumstances, both private and public institutions, without coercing, can make our lives a lot better.  Once we know that people are human and have some Homer Simpson in them, then there’s a lot that can be done to manipulate them.”
