Brain in the Box
By Tammy Derouin
The Democratic Party continued to show
its true colors this past week by revealing to the nation and the
world that they do not care about anything but their own political
best interests. The party which likes to peddle the belief that they
are superior, the champions of individualism, never mind the fact
that encroaching on the rights of others is acceptable if they don't
line up with “their” beliefs and ideals, proved on live
television and to the world that they are a coalition of
contemptuousness. You could almost see the hatred oozing out them as
they listened or pretended to listen to the State of the Union
address.
If you watched the State of the Union,
the Democrats put on a sorrowful show. The shear ugliness which they
have created and perfected was an embarrassing spectacle. The facial
contortions provided by Nancy Pelosi, the sunken look of Chuck
Schumer and the disrespectful behavior of the party in general, as
some were caught playing games on their phones, was a national
embarrassment. The Democratic side of the chamber, with but a few
exceptions, showed their desire to be of one mind, thinking inside
their crippling box of enslavement.
Free will appears to be a thing of the
past if you are part of the Democratic Party. At times you could see
the desire, the need to be an individual rise up among certain
members of the enslaved party. When the President made pro-American,
bipartisan statements, there were many looks of confusion. Heads
began to turn, as a feeling of uncertainty overcame them. They
seemed to be looking for a nod of approval. Was it OK to think for
themselves, stand and applaud if they were so moved? Who was holding
the brain in the box? For the most part, the desire to think as an
individual was suppressed by the allegiance to the party. Perhaps
the desire to have free will was overpowered by possibly being
accused of betraying their party and the consequences they may have
endured. I guess sitting on their hands, sucking on a sour ball and
showing contempt towards the American people was what they had to do
to get them through a very positive and uplifting speech. How sad
that the Democrats view American prosperity, love of country and
individual rights as a threat.
The Democrats were given a very
generous offer on immigration. We have to fix the problem not just
hit a reset button and pretend this will not happen again. We need
border security and it's very concerning that any elected official
would not want to secure our border. Our national interest and
national security is at risk. Will the Democrats do the right thing
and work towards a path for citizenship for their not yet legal but
possible future constituents, or will they continue to play games,
putting America at risk?
We need to get back to the rule of law
and repair the damage caused by the rule of man. Americans and
American interest must be top priority. We, as Americans, have a
government which recognizes our most basic, individual rights. It is
the government's job to protect those rights and it's the job of the
Executive Branch to protect our national security.
Late last week, the highly anticipated
“Memo” was released. Most of what was stated was already known
but it contained things the main stream media doesn't like to report.
If you are hearing this for the first time, it may seem shocking
that our government, those who were part of the previous
administration could be part of something so sinister. It's time to
unplug from the main stream media. We had an administration which
used its power to betray the trust of the American people for
political gain. The FBI and DOJ intentionally misled the FISA court
to obtain authorization to spy on a member of the Trump campaign. Our
highly trusted departments fell from grace, opting to follow the rule
of man over the rule of law. All Americans should be concerned about
such activity and it should not go unpunished. This is certainly the
tip of the iceberg. Americans should be upset that the media has
aligned themselves with a political agenda. They now favor
suppressing evidence and truth from the American people rather than
seeking truth and justice.
“...the public's confidence in the
integrity of the FISA process depends on the court's ability to hold
the government to the highest standard- particularly as it relates to
surveillance of American citizens. However, the FICS's rigor in
protecting the rights of Americans, which is reinforced by 90-day
renewals of surveillance orders, is necessarily dependent on the
government's production to the court of all material and relevant
facts.”
