Impaired Thought
Process
By Tammy Derouin
Once our world
has crumbled and the dust has settled those who want to make sure history
doesn't repeat, will do some investigating. They will want to know why a
free and independent nation fell for the greatest con of the millennium; the
theft of the United States of America.
How did the most
advanced society on Earth succumb to evil trickery? Why did a thriving,
productive nation which valued freedom and independence turn on itself? We once valued self-reliance. We demanded
answers and insisted on truth and justice.
Why did dependency and entitlements become acceptable? Why did Americans begin to accept fairy
tales, lies and injustice?
We have lost our moral and ethical compass. What was once right is now wrong and what was once wrong is now right. Through the guidance of a president, who would much rather be king, we are accepting, and in many cases demanding, our own enslavement. Far too many do not even grasp the seriousness of their demands and actions. The Left likes to use words such as "free" or "rights" but only to push entitlements or an agenda. This causes an impaired thought process from their followers. They are being conditioned into thinking that our Constitution is a document of negative liberties.
They may not see
it now, but there will be consequences. Disregarding the law, not
following proper procedures and not holding the administration accountable
has allowed one branch of government to become too powerful. Special
interest may feel protected today, but, once they have outlived their
usefulness, they will be disregarded.
Lying and
deceiving, producing false narratives, changing history and tampering with
the truth are all acceptable practices in our fundamentally transformed
nation. Our government leads by example. The political agenda has become
top priority. It blinds its followers
with unrealistic promises of hope and change, while mocking and targeting those
who would challenge their intent. The administration continues to push
its anti-American agenda by any means necessary. Collapsing our system of government is the
ultimate goal. Events and actions laced with scandal and blatant
disregard for the law are shrugged off as a means to an end.
With a scribble
of his pen the executive is forcing his will on the people of this nation. Why is it so difficult for so many in
Congress, the courts and the people to see that he is not working within his
boundaries? He took an oath to
faithfully execute his duties as president, not a king or a dictator. His job is to enforce the law and to protect
our country. He has proven time and time
again that he isn’t capable of fulfilling his role as president. He makes laws by decree and his idea of
protecting our country is to open our borders to our enemies while weakening
our military and our police. History
will judge the executive harshly. The
truth of his intent and his actions will emerge. His most ardent supports will
be forced to take note.
In the real world
he would have been fired. In the real world
you have to work within the parameters set forth by the company which employees
you. Ignoring your responsibilities, while
sticking your nose into the responsibilities of others, causes internal problems.
The private sector doesn’t allow such abuse of power. Why have we allowed
it within our government?
Why do we, as a whole, turn a blind eye to the destructive actions of a runaway president and a Congress which is unable to rein him in and tie him down with the restraints of our Constitution? We are on the fast track to total government control.
Every individual
who is demanding that the government fulfill their every need should
take a long hard look at history. It really doesn't take much effort. Start
with the definition of socialism. It will point you to communism.
Read what the dictators of such governments have done to their countries,
to their people. They rule with an iron fist. That is the
reason so many have sought shelter in the United States. When the government grants your rights, the
government can take them away without notice or cause.
If the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Vietnam, Nazi Germany or any other Social Democratic, Communist, totalitarian government seems so distant, so far removed from today’s reality, take a look at Venezuela. It is a living history lesson. It should make those who support Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton reevaluate their vote. It should also serve as a wake up call, as the burn of regret sinks in, for the past eight years.
“Do not separate
text from historical background. If you
do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end
in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government.”
James Madison
