False Realities

By Tammy Derouin

As we approach the end of another year under the Obama dictatorship, I can’t help but wonder what will take place during his final year.  It’s supposed to be his final year but it wouldn’t surprise me if he attempts to find a way to stay in power.  It would be unconstitutional, you say? Well, what has he done that is Constitutional?  And why has our Congress refused to rein in an out-of-control executive?

Under normal circumstances, a lame duck president quietly rides out his final year.  And although Obama has been nothing short of a weak leader, as far as protecting the American people, freedom and the American way of life, he has however, been an unstoppable, ambitious advocate for the enemies of the American people.  So, I guess weakling is in the eye of the beholder.

At the end of every year since Obama assumed the highest office in our government, I have looked back in amazement at how much freedom we have lost and how much power he has gained.  Every year I hope that Congress and the judicial branch will do their job, as stated in the Constitution.  The Constitution was designed to prevent tyranny but only if we use it.  Every year we sink deeper into darkness.

It is absolutely amazing that we have allowed this administration to get away with their unapologetic power grab.  We have willingly allowed ourselves to be enslaved by our own government; cheering and applauding as we lock ourselves in chains.  Somewhere during these dark years, it became criminal behavior to defend freedom and independence.  The desire to enforce the rules as set forth in the Constitution has become radical behavior.

Anyone who disagrees with the executive is now being accused of being a racist, as if the only reason people would oppose his policies is based solely on the color of his skin.  Honestly, aren’t you tired of him making up false realities?  Obama lives in a world of make believe; he’ll make it up and you better believe it.  The first American dictator has certainly done everything in his power to transform our nation into something it was never meant to be and Americans cheered.

In addition, our Pledge of Allegiance, our flag and songs of patriotism have become offensive in one way or another.  How is that even possible?  If freedom is so unpleasant, why is it that so many want to enter our country?  What kind of upside down world do we live in where freedom has become outdated and oppression has become all the rage?

We have elected an individual to the highest office who does everything he can to weaken the American economy, borders and military. Every opportunity is used to create problems among Americans, problems which did not exist but are being created to cause a divide among Americans.  It’s as if the administration wants civil unrest.

An atmosphere is being created by our own government to turn the American people against each other and against their own country.  Why would the leader of our nation want to start fires and fan the flames?  Why is this administration interested in creating problems rather than solving them?

There’s an endless supply of proof available.  Years of questionable actions or inactions, lies and deceit are readily available to wade through.  You only need to read the Declaration of Independence to realize we are in worse shape now, than we were prior to the Revolutionary War.  After reading the Declaration of Independence it is easy to understand why the U.S. Constitution is a masterpiece; a document of positive liberties.

The Left continuously attempts to remove our history and our traditions.  If we do not know our history and the power we have as free individuals, the government will convince us the power has always been theirs and therefore will continue to assume such power and eventually use it against us.

I fear what could happen during this last year.  We aren’t really dealing with a lame duck, are we?   A wounded wolf seems more fitting.  For seven years we have witnessed complete disregard for our procedures and laws.  We have witnessed arrogance at audacious levels as he blatantly states he will use a pen and a phone to get what he wants if Congress doesn’t give him what he wants.  We have also witnessed a lack of responsibility in our Congress and our courts.

What does he have to lose?  He hasn’t been stopped for seven years.  I fear he will push what little boundaries he has left.  He knows Congress is weak, the courts will rule in his favor and the press is in his back pocket.

“My God!  How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, which no other people on earth enjoy!”
