Another Notch

By Tammy Derouin

This past week the executive took it up another notch. Because of our lack of attention to reality, we have put our future existence as a free and independent people in extreme jeopardy.

Many road blocks are put in place for American citizens.  Detours around our founding principles, including our system of government and our basic freedoms, have become routine.  Paved roads with an endless supply of amenities and funding (taken from the American taxpayer) are given to those who call for our destruction.

The executive scolds, bad mouths and apologizes for the very people who elected him to represent them.  He pacifies and coddles our enemies.  A person’s actions do indeed speak louder than words.  Actions give a more transparent concept of someone’s ideals and beliefs.  When words back up actions, true colors and ideology come to light.

Objecting to the agenda has led to a barrage of attacks perfected by the progressive movement.  Many have been mocked, ridiculed and belittled.  Of course, abusing power by employing government agencies, such as the IRS, takes it up yet another notch.

Thankfully, there are a few news outlets which dare to tell the truth.  TheBlaze reported several comments made by Obama this past Tuesday regarding the White House Easter prayer breakfast.  The article stated,  that “Obama accused some Christians of lacking love, then said he was “pulling back” from saying any more.”

Obama stated, “On Easter, I do reflect that as a Christian, I am supposed to love.  I have to say that sometimes, when I listen to less than loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned. But that’s a topic for another day.”  He continued, “Where there is injustice, we defend the oppressed.  Where there is disagreement, we treat each other with compassion and respect.  Where there are differences, we find strength in our common humanity, knowing that we are all children of God.”

We, as humans, will always have differing opinions and individual values.  Even as Christians, we will have individual beliefs.  Isn’t that why there are so many denominations within Christianity?  We disagree without calling for the death of our fellow countrymen or those who share our world.  Up until recent years, the United States had a history of protecting its citizens, our allies and those who have been oppressed.

An issue is attempting to destroy the bonds which hold us together as a nation and as Christians. As a whole, I see Americans and American Christians as a tolerant and understanding people. We have the right to live as we choose as long as it doesn’t harm someone or infringe on their individual rights.  When the government attempts to force a compromise on individual beliefs, freedom no longer exists.

The beauty of our system of government is that it promotes freedom which allows capitalism to flourish.  Individuals and business have a right to their beliefs and convictions. No one has the right to infringe on those beliefs.  If they are not causing harm or infringing on anyone, it is their right to live as they chose. Instead of running to big brother, maybe it would be more productive and less inflammatory to start a business or service based on a need.  That’s what makes America exceptional!

It is very disturbing and extremely terrifying to watch our government attempt to destroy us from within. Many attempts, in recent years, have been made to divide the American people.  So far, we have successfully avoided an irreversible outcome.  Once a clear division has been made and internal hemorrhaging has begun, our enemies, both foreign and domestic, will finish the divide and conquer.

The executive tolerates intolerance from our enemies.  He befriends and encourages those who openly call for our death and the destruction of our homeland.  He turns his back on our allies, making them vulnerable to attack and annihilation.  He is friendly with those who continuously show “less than loving” sentiments toward Jews, Christians and Americans in general.

I am beyond concerned with the behavior of the executive.  He calls for Americans to be tolerant?   The American people are not beheading  non-Christians or anyone for that matter.  They aren’t torturing and killing those who disagree with their ideology.  Americans are not killing children, stoning women who are raped or tossing men to their death because they are different.

America, we are being played.  We are being encouraged to dismiss the intent of our enemies.  Our government is encouraging political correctness which infringes on our freedoms; our God given rights. Our enemies have flourished under this administration.  We are vulnerable to attack.  They will not let an opportunity go to waste.

“I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam.”

Barack Hussain Obama
