“[Illegal aliens are] not going to come out of Mexico and became Libertarians,” Stockman told CNSNews.com at an immigration radio town hall event on Thursday in Washington, D.C. “It’s not going to happen.”
Stockman said his state is a bellwether for the future of the GOP if amnesty becomes the law of the land.“Being from Texas, I can assure you it won’t help us,” Stockman said. “It will lose Texas, and once you lose Texas, the Republicans will never win another presidential election.”
Stockman said Republicans rightly refuse to vote for legislation pushed by Democrats that provides a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens."
