Game Changer
By Tammy Derouin
I learned something very interesting from Rabbi Daniel
Lapin, President of the American Alliance of Jews and Christians. The word
‘fair’ does not exist in the Hebrew language.
He explained, “that when little Israeli youngsters want to whine ‘it’s
not fair,’ they can’t use the Hebrew word; they have to resort to the English
word.”
We’ve all said, “It’s not fair.” But you know what? Life isn’t fair. A fairness clause was not attached to your
birth certificate. No individual is a
carbon copy of another. Every individual
will encounter different and unique circumstances. How we deal with our life experiences, the
good and the bad, plays a part in determining our success.
The United States Constitution gives the citizenry the best
advantage over any other country in the world.
Our Constitution uses Nature’s Law.
It’s very disturbing when a government attempts to force man’s law on
the population. Man’s law changes with
the ruling party.
In this poker game we call life, we are all dealt a
hand. How we play is up to each
individual. Experience teaches us the
skills we need to perfect our game.
Failures, struggles and the hardships in our life, teach us the skills
we need to get to the next level. We learn
why a poker face is important and over confidence can be heartbreaking. Skills are learned, not given. You have a choice; sit and whine or do your
best with the cards you were dealt.
Of course, you could opt out of the real game and play the
progressive poker game. The dealer is an
organizer so he knows exactly what you want.
It’s not fair that some players get a rotten hand so he dismisses the
rules and gives everybody their own deck of cards. Great!
Everyone is going to be a winner!
Even though everybody has the exact same deck, not everybody has the
same skill level. Don’t worry, Super
Dealer to the rescue! Super Dealer
decides that in order to make the game equal and fair, he will now control the
game.
First, you have to give back the deck of cards. The dealer giveth and the dealer taketh away. Super Dealer will redistribute the cards
fairly and equally because man’s law is now in control. Nobody stopped the dealer when he initially
changed the rules. He gave the players what they wanted; a winning hand. Everybody liked the benefits so nobody
bothered checking the actual rules. They
were carelessly discarded.
Everyone will be dealt the exact same hand. Nobody will lose! Well, those who have more chips on the table
will automatically be dealt a lesser hand but only until they are equally
poor. Once the playing field is equal,
as determined by the dealer, every player will be dealt the same hand, over and
over again. There’s no more money,
there’s no more excitement and there’s no longer a reason to care. Everything comes to a halt.
Will somebody please find the “Applause” sign? We’re going
to need it! Guaranteed fairness and
equality comes at a very high price, personal freedom. Fairness and equality, as determined by man’s
law, is a game changer. The rules have
been disregarded to the point that the original intent is no longer
recognizable.
We’ve allowed the progressives to run amuck with words like
fair and equal. All men are created equal
but all men are not given equal talents or abilities. The Constitution gives Americans the best
playing field to pursue their dreams and happiness. Success and prosperity are not
guaranteed. It’s up to each individual
to use their skills and abilities to find their happiness.
The government is not responsible for your success. It isn’t responsible for your education,
employment, insurance, housing, food, transportation, medical, recreational
activities, phones, internet or birth control.
Our president is trying to convince us that our Constitution contains
negative liberties because it doesn’t say what the government should do on
behalf of the people.
Progressives like to buddy up to any group of people who
feel they didn’t get a fair deal. They
promise hope and change for whatever their cause may be. What Americans fail to see is that
progressives are fair weathered friends.
They will change their beliefs and make promises to get your vote. When they get what they want, your desires,
your happiness will no longer matter. You will be discarded.
History is a wonderful tool.
It’s no accident that the government is dumbing down our educational
system. Knowledge is power. What you don’t know will hurt you.
“For those seeking to increase tyranny and totalitarianism,
fairness and equality is a great thing to work people up about, because you
essentially get a population – particularly a docile population – to agree to
almost anything in the name of equality and fairness.”
Rabbi Daniel Lapin
