Just the Facts
By Tammy Derouin
Vice President Jo Biden wants to get serious about the facts.  At least that’s what he told a crowd recently.  This took place before the debate.  He actually had the audacity to complain how George W. Bush doubled the debt in eight years.  He emphasized how “these are the facts.”  The fact that Biden wants to look at facts is hilarious.  I’d be doubled over with laughter if it wasn’t for all the tears. Americans aren’t getting the facts due to a spineless press.
Bush added $4 trillion to the debt over an eight year period. During these eight years the U.S. suffered the worse national disaster since Pearl Harbor when terrorists attacked on September 11.  This took place when America still had a backbone, so we went to war.  We didn’t apologize.  The Obama administration has added $6 trillion to the debt in less than four years.  Obama called Bush unpatriotic when the debt went up by $4 trillion.  What does that make Obama?  These are just the facts.
While Obama has been in office, the price of gas, food, clothing, durable goods, tuition, energy and health care have gone up dramatically.  Yes, health care and this is nothing compared to what’s coming. Buried in the health care act are a minimum of 21 tax increases.  The health care act is a European system of rationalized health services and treatments.  The New York Times recently ran an article titled, “Beyond Obamacare.”  It was written by Steven Rattner, a former Obama advisor.  He now serves on the board of the New America Foundation, NAF.  This is a George Soros funded think tank.  Rattner’s views are worth looking into if you value your life.  His article which ran on September 16 begins with “We need death panels.  Well maybe not death panels, exactly, but…”  Rattner states the federal budget will not be able to handle the rising cost of Medicare.  He doesn’t feel that all Americans are “entitled” to every medical option or prescription.  He does believe that rationing health services will be inevitable under Obamacare.  Rattner has many disturbing things to say including, “…elderly Americans are not entitled to every conceivable medical procedure or pharmaceutical.”  He did express sympathy, “No one wants to lose an aging parent.”  Sympathy followed by fact, “We may shrink from such stomach-wrenching choices, but they are inescapable.”  These are just the facts.
You may also be interested in knowing that Obama has plans for a nationalized school system.  The Department of Education hasn’t done enough damage. The Sustainable Communities Initiative and the Regional Equity Movement are well worth looking into.  Obama stated that 45 or 46 states have signed on to his program.  Obama has an agenda.  He has a national curriculum.  A report, “The Road to a National Curriculum” was released earlier this year by former Department of Education insiders.  The fear is that the states will become administrative agents for a nationalized education program.  Universal standards may, at first sound good.  Standards began with the National Governors Association and a desire to define what students should know to graduate.  Participation was on a voluntary basis.  According to the report, “Obama had the Race to the Top grants require districts to adopt the Obama standards in exchange for participating.”  The Department of Education eventually confirmed that participation in the national standards program would be a requirement.  Federal funds will depend on state participation.  These are just the facts.
This is one more example of Obama dictating his will.  Federal law prohibits instruction into any, “direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institute, school, or school system, or over the selection of library resources, textbooks, or other printed or published instructional materials…”  It isn’t the responsibility of the federal government to educate.  If the government is no longer bound by the above law, indoctrination by the state begins in kindergarten.  If educated adults are buying Al Gore’s explanation as to why Obama bombed at the debate, our schools and our children don’t stand a chance.
Communist goal 17:  Get control of the schools.  Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda.  Soften the curriculum.  Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.
Americans are exceptional.  We aren’t content with being second best. We continually strive to do better.  Hard work and determination is the American way.   Americans run into the fire and we certainly don’t apologize for who we are.  The cost of “free stuff” is getting higher.   Eventually, it will cost us our freedom. Since Obama took office we have lost our brain and our courage.  Will our heart be next?
“Government is not the solution to our problem.  Government is the problem.”
Ronald Reagan
