Unilateral Rulers

The loyalty of the executive, the Pres-a-king, is no longer in question.  He openly defies our law, the law of the land which he swore to uphold and protect.  He gets a twinkle in his eyes as nothing short of giddiness takes over his demeanor, as he enthusiastically proclaims he will do what he feels is best for the country, meaning he will do whatever he wants.  You can place a pretty safe bet that if it will harm America, he will embrace it.  If it will help America, he will destroy it.  Oh, and if you question or protest his actions, you become a target of the federal government. 

It isn’t his job to impose his will by creating laws.  It’s his job to faithfully execute the laws of the land and defend our country.  I am convinced, more and more with each passing day, that he studied the Constitution in order to dismantle it. 

Rulers, such as kings and dictators have unilateral power to use their pen and their phone to act on a whim.  They surround themselves with Yes Men, which serves two purposes.  First, just in case the ruler should have any doubt about his actions or lack thereof, the Yes Men are within reach for a collective “nod” to the ruler.  Second, should anything happen which would not look favorably on the ruler, the Yes Men are readily available to be thrown under the bus.  The ruler will never be at fault.
 
In order to gain more power without losing his appeal, the ruler must convince the masses that he has the answer for everything.  In short, he is the answer.  To help get you hooked on his poison, I mean his Utopian state; he will lure you in with free trinkets and inflated promises.  He will provide all of life’s necessities as he attempts to convince everyone that it would be impossible to make it without his help. In the end, it will be discovered that it was all a bunch of hot air and empty promises.  Redistribution, by way of taking from the rich and giving to the poor, only lasts a short time.  In the end, everyone will end up poor, except the chosen elite.

A life of bliss doesn’t come cheap.  Ignorance is the weakness and freedom is the fee.  Your rights and independence traded for enslavement; you are now the property of the state.  Does it get any more liberating?  The state will now think and act on your behalf.  There will no longer be a need to think inside or outside of the box.  You are securely trapped within its four walls.

Unilateral rulers also have the police, military and all departments of their government to enforce penalties and consequences on their subjects.  Such methods will be used on those who do not comply or on anyone who dares to question authority.  Efficiency will improve greatly.  The ruler will act as accuser, judge, jury and executioner. 

Thankfully, America has been the exception.  In a world full of oppression and tyranny, America has stood out as the beacon of hope.  We defended our freedoms and our way of life.  We not only recognized a wolf in sheep’s clothing, we called him out and fought him when necessary. But, that was a different time, before the fundamental transformation of America.

Sadly, too many Americans have taken their freedoms for granted.  Tyranny has entered our shores, our government and our White House.  The wolf has convinced us that we shouldn’t be too harsh.  So instead of attacking a potential threat, we pacify it and rub its tummy.  The priceless valuables which we once guarded unconditionally are now offered in some kind of disturbing sacrifice to our enemy.

Does America stand for anything anymore?  We once stood for God, freedom, truth and justice.  We defended ourselves, our homeland, our allies, the defenseless and we didn’t apologize for our beliefs or our actions.  We didn’t allow anyone or any nation to push us around. 

So what happened?  We allowed the wolf to gain control and he sent our watch dogs to re-education camps.  Our homeland security has been greatly reduced and those who still attempt to protect us do so with both hands tied behind their backs; compliments of the executive.  Those who wear a U.S. military, border patrol or civilian law enforcement uniform have been betrayed by the Commander In Chief. 

How much longer are we going to allow the executive to disgrace and enslave the United States of America?  How much longer are we going to allow ourselves to be bullied by our enemies, both foreign and domestic?
