What Happened?

When integrity and truth were allowed to vanish from our standards, our society suffered and our country took a wrong turn. Right now, we are watching a defeated presidential candidate who lost because of her own actions, promote herself as a victim. The reality of defeat is just too difficult for some individuals to confront. It could never be their own fault, so they have to blame someone else or make up stories to make themselves look better.

What happened? Well, when you deceive the American people, profit from your position as a public servant, lie about so many things from one end of the alphabet to the other from Benghazi to Uranium, put foreign countries, such as our enemies, before the interests of the American people, and then call millions of Americans deplorable, because they support a candidate who calls for law and order, it's bound to catch up with you.

For eight years we watched an administration in which Ms. Clinton had an active role; lie, deceive and target the American people. We watched as the media not only ignored the truth but reinvented the truth to promote an agenda which did more harm to our country than good. We watched an administration master the blame game. When things went wrong or when things were exposed which could be potentially harmful to their agenda, there was always an excuse or someone else to blame. Opportunities arose out of a crisis and a crisis introduced new opportunities.

The media played right into their trappings and ultimately betrayed the American people. Mainstream media jumped ship. They went from watch dog to lap dog. Instead of reporting government corruption they began to cover it up. They hung up their magnifying glasses and tossed away their desire to dig for, and report the truth, opting instead to be told what to do as they became propaganda hustlers for a political agenda.

What happened? For eight years we had a president and an administration which abused its power with little to nothing showing up in the news. This same president and his administration were capable of lying directly to the American people. When evidence supported that the administration was indeed lying, the truth was manipulated and those who called attention to the original truth were mocked and belittled.

What happened? The public schools either stopped teaching or drastically cut back on American History. The study of Western civilization became politically incorrect. Never mind the fact that if it weren't for the explorers and the visionaries of yesterday, we wouldn't have the freedom we have today. It became acceptable to hold those who came before us to the impossible standards of present day. Erasing history and the steps it took to get to where we are today has become the preferred way to deal with unpleasant realities. The messy journey and the mile markers which show the progression of our enlightenment and present day standards are being eliminated. For those who can't handle the truth or more importantly, for those who do not want you to know the truth, a transporter is being created to magically take you from point A to point B. It is today's preferred way to travel through history. By eliminating the actual steps, the messy stories and the hidden agendas are much easier to cover up. You only see what they want you to see. There's no longer a need to know how or why something happened, it just happened.

What happened? We stopped paying attention and stopped asking questions. We began to blindly trust our government officials to protect the interests of the American people and the homeland. When excuses were made that didn't make sense, those who questioned became targets. Speeches with phrases that caused you to tilt your head in a questioning way were overlooked or chalked up to political rhetoric. An individual running for the U.S. Presidency surely didn't want to fundamentally transform our nation, did he?

What happened? National security became low priority and open borders became all the rage. Protecting our homeland and our way of life became politically incorrect, as did protecting the integrity of our elections and understanding the importance of the Electoral College. Socialism, Communism and Sharia have become intriguing possibilities, while the true history of these types of government enslavement have been intentionally ignored and swept under the rug. Ignorance is bliss, or so they say.

What happened? Just enough people woke up and saw the light. The Electoral College prevented an extension of the abuse of power we have witnessed for eight long years.
