“Every week, representatives of each of these nine agencies meet to review the biographic information and other case records sent by the overseas Resettlement Support Centers to determine where a refugee will be resettled in the United States” the State Department’s policy reads.According to Beck, the federal government is deciding where the incoming refugees will be placed because the president is attempting to make the country “more diverse.”
