"Obama opened up his remarks smiling and happily stating that ‘it is wonderful to be back in Delaware.’ He then mentioned the plane crash saying it ‘looks like it may be a terrible tragedy’ and assuring the people that his National Security Team would be in contact with the Ukrainian government to determine how we could assist and if any Americans were aboard the plane. By that time, it had been reported that 23 Americans had indeed perished in that crash.It was then on to jokes and the chastising of Republicans for not approving of his constant efforts to circumvent Congress."
