Stand Down
By Tammy Derouin
This past week three brave Americans stood up to the
government and testified about their knowledge of the Benghazi attack. These individuals have been threatened,
demoted and intimidated by the White House and the State Department. Despite the threats, they took a stand and
testified because it does matter.
Eric Nordstrom was a former regional security
officer in Libya. He had issues with
Hillary Clinton’s statement, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”
She was referring to what ignited the Benghazi attack. Nordstrom emotionally stated that it does
matter. “It matters to me personally and
it matters to my colleagues.” He continued, “It matters to the American public
for whom we serve.” He went on to
mention that it matters to the family and friends of those who were murdered.
Gregory Hicks, former deputy chief of mission at the
U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, probably gave the most damaging testimony. He testified that he was directly told not to
isolate himself with Congressman Chaffetz, who visited the site in Libya. He received intimidating calls from Clinton
and her top advisor Cheryl Mills. Hicks
stated he was “embarrassed” that the administration was blaming the attack on a
You Tube video. “The You Tube video was
a non-event in Libya.” Hours after the
attack, the president of Libya said it had possible terror links. An email from the State Department
acknowledged this information the very next day. U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice made no attempt to
talk to Hicks prior to her making rounds on all the Sunday morning shows where
she blamed the attack on a video.
According to Hicks, senior Obama administration
officials not only failed to act during the attack to save the lives of
Americans, they stood in the way of efforts to do so. Hicks said Special Forces were prevented from
responding to the attack. Lt. Col.
Gibson and his personnel were getting into vehicles to make sure the airport
was secure for their departure. They
were called off. They were not
authorized to go. The administration
knew it was a terrorist attack. Their
inaction was disgraceful. The cover up
has revealed acts of disloyalty and betrayal.
Our government conspires against the American
people. Our government has managed to
take control of the mainstream media. This
story and so many others are being scrubbed from the news. Our government has tried to hush those that
dare to tell the truth. There was a time
when this type of government control only took place in other countries.
America, we have a president that is arming our
enemies. He arms them outside of our
borders and he turns a blind eye once they have crossed our borders. We have a president that is doing everything
he can to disarm Americans. The
government is purchasing ammunition in record amounts. If they can’t take your gun, they will take
your bullets. Have you tried to purchase
ammunition lately?
You are fooling yourself if you believe that
removing guns from the people is the answer.
You are only playing into their plan.
They promote fear. This plan is
all about control and it will eventually affect you. Once one of our rights disappears, the others
will soon follow.
The government knowingly lied to the American
people. They blamed a video that had
absolutely nothing to do with the attack.
A Lt. Col. was told to “stand down” preventing Special Forces from
aiding Americans under attack. Someone
gave that order, who was it and why? No
planes were deployed. Witnesses were
instructed not to speak to investigators alone.
Congressmen Chaffetz, who went to investigate, claimed that the Obama
administration assigned a State Department attorney to follow him during his
trip. Talking points were changed to
avoid any mention of calling it a terrorist attack. It took the FBI 24 days to investigate the site. CNN went through the ruins long before our
government sent investigators. Clinton’s
name is on cables reducing security.
I came across yet another interesting twist as I read
through pages of news reports. A man
called the Hannity radio show and identified himself as a drone operator on
point during the attack. He stated that
the video was being transmitted to agencies around the world. It would be easy to see that there was a big
problem. He described that there were
hundreds of people around the consulate.
Nobody has interviewed him or any of the other drone operators involved
during the attack. Why? He then made a statement that was very
disturbing. “But we wouldn’t have been
able to do much anyway because of the agreement with the host countries where
we’re located. We were not able to be armed that night.” Now why would that be?
“Lt. Col. Gibson was furious. I told him to go bring our people home. That’s what he wanted to do.”
