Fourteen other women from Rochester, New York, were also arrested, as were the election officials who allowed them to vote. The 14 other women were never taken to trial, and the election officials were pardoned by President Ulysses S. Grant.
But Anthony was never pardoned—until last week—and because it was Trump who rectified this injustice, the left is incensed. Indeed, the left would rather send Anthony down the memory hole than see her praised by Trump.
